Iota Hub 6-Piece Bundle

Switched from a Vivint system that cost me $45/month plus equipment financing. The iota hub is one device doing the work of three — security camera, motion sensor, and alarm hub. Setup took about 40 minutes including pairing Z-Wave light switches and a Schlage lock. The design is the first thing people notice. It does not look like security equipment. Sits on my shelf next to books and blends in. The built-in camera gives decent 1080p footage and the motion sensor covers the living room without a separate device. I run CUE automations to turn on lights when the system detects motion after dark and lock the front door at 11pm automatically. The 72-hour battery backup has been tested once during a 6-hour outage — cellular kicked in immediately and I got every alert on my phone. Two things I would improve: the camera could use higher resolution (Ring and SimpliSafe both do 1080p too but newer competitors are at 2K), and the app takes a beat to load live view. Nothing deal-breaking. Been running it for 14 months on the Connect plan at $6/month. Previous Vivint bill was $45/month. I save $468/year for a system that does 90% of what Vivint did.
