Today, Abode is excited to launch our Apple TV app and a revamped Android TV app—completing the Abode app ecosystem for seamless control and monitoring across mobile, smartwatch, tablet, desktop, and now TV.
Abode users can now access their complete smart home and security ecosystem via their Apple TV. The app allows users to arm and disarm their system, view live video feeds from cameras, and check device status—directly from their TV of choice. It offers a customizable grid layout featuring a live view of Abode security cameras along with the ability to manage and rearrange the order of camera feeds. The app also supports viewing of recorded clips, displays the status of connected devices, and the control of select devices via “quick actions”.
For cameras with 24/7 recording enabled, users can access stored footage by scrubbing through their timeline or jumping to specific events.
Our new Android TV app mirrors much of the Apple TV functionality, including live streaming up to two cameras, viewing timelines, accessing recorded clips, and managing connected devices. It offers a consistent, fully integrated Abode experience tailored to Android TV’s interface.
Users can stream live video from cameras side by side and have the ability to view timelines, access recorded clips, and manage select devices. The app provides a seamless, fully integrated smart home experience that allows users to control their Abode system and connected devices directly from their Android TV.
Both the Abode Apple TV and Android TV apps are available now on their respective app stores.
