Today we’re excited to announce that the Abode app can now be used on Android smart watches to allow users to interact with their devices and control their home security system. With just a few taps on Android watches, Abode users can view event timelines, arm and disarm the system, check out camera views and run automations without pulling out a phone or other mobile device.
The different screens on the Android watch app bring powerful Abode functionality to users’ wrists and give them a clear, intuitive way to perform powerful tasks on the go, whether home or away. It also gives other members of the household, older children, long term guests or caregivers an easy way to interact with the system with the simple, straightforward interface.
The Abode app is available on the Google Play store; the Abode app is also available in an iOS version for the Apple Watch with the same functionality.
Home Security Video on Google TV
In addition to the Android Watch app, Abode also recently released a limited version of the Abode app for devices running Google TV / Android TV.
The Abode app for Google TV allows users to check on their home security cameras status and view the streaming video feed.
This added functionality gives Abode customers the ability to keep an eye on their home from any room with a Google TV enabled display without needing an additional local control product like the Keypad or their phone or other mobile device.
