User-Initiated Monitoring
Self-monitoring customers can now send active alarms to our award-winning, US-based monitoring center for emergency service dispatch.
With this feature, self-monitoring users on our Standard plan can send active alarms to our award-winning, US-based monitoring center for emergency service dispatch. This feature comes at no additional cost to Standard plan users and underscores Abode’s commitment to innovation and added value for existing customers.
Enrolled users can opt to call 911 themselves or refer an active alarm to Abode’s US-based monitoring center. When an alarm is referred to the monitoring center, users will be called to verify the alarm via a user-created PIN code and emergency services then dispatched.
Standard plan users can enroll within the app by navigating to their account settings and tapping Pro Monitoring. From there, follow the guided setup instructions to finish enrollment and unlock the ability to route alarms to the professional monitoring center.
Once enrolled, step through our guided insurance discount discovery tool to see how much you are eligible to save on your homeowners or renters policy with user-initiated monitoring. Call your insurance agent to get your discount applied.
