The Abode security system works perfectly with no issues. This is my second Abode system and I wouldn’t recommend any other. The support is fantastic and the ability to integrate my smart-home devices is a big plus!

Setup was less of a chore and more of an adventure, with an instruction manual that actually made sense (shocker, right?). Now, I'm a sucker for anything that plays nice with my iOS gadgets and our home's newfound friend, Alexa. Abode didn’t disappoint! The Alexa integration is smoother than butter, and the Interactive iOS Widgets are the cherry on top. I can arm, disarm, and check the status of my home’s security right from my phone’s home screen, without needing to dive into an app. It's like living in the future, but now. And with a baby on board, the less I have to fiddle with things, the better. The app is also pretty intuitive, so I didn’t need a degree in rocket science to figure out how to use it. With Abode, I now have fewer gray hairs worrying about keeping the family safe. It’s smart, it’s sleek, and it doesn’t break the bank. What’s not to love? Highly recommend to any new homeowners, especially if you’re trying to juggle the circus of young family life!

Heh - I long had my suspicions regarding who it was that kept "taking out' my mailbox. Some insisted it had to be kids. But NO! My camera caught a beautiful clip of a *school bus* taking out my mailbox!! (And going waay too fast.) I sent the clip to the School Board. Next thing I knew we had police enforcing the 20 mph school zone and *all* of the school buses giving my mailbox a wide berth. (It's amazing how fast word spreads that so-and-so just got in big trouble for hitting mailboxes and driving too fast.) And to be fair - they were only driving a "little" fast as they approached the school with a busload of kiddos - it was as they were leaving the school that the buses looked like they were trying to drag race. But the camera's quality was just awesome and it caught all the sound as well! Love these little cameras.

The video quality is amazing, set up was a breeze and the app is super user friendly. Literally, 15 Minutes after I installed it, it detected a package being delivered and alerted me right away – so cool! I liked it so much that I even bought one for my parents as a gift. This is awesome!

Recently bought the Water Leak Sensor and I'm so glad I did. I had a flood start in the basement that could have caused major damage to my home and most importantly, destroyed a lot of my precious family memories. I've only been a customer for a few months, and this system has already saved my house from a disastrous flood. I had left the house for the day and while I was gone, the water leak sensor triggered. I received a notification on my phone and was able to quickly call my neighbour, who managed to shut the main water supply. Without this system, the house would have been flooded for sure. The system is easy to use and I'm so glad I invested in it.

We've been using this for several years, it's great. And the lack of monthly fees is what made us choose it. Sure hope they can continue to provide great service at a great price.

I’ve had the system for several years, and installed it myself. After the initial learning curve, everything has been very reliable and easy to use. I’m thinking about adding some cameras to the exterior of the house so I have some notification when things get delivered.

Great product. Have experience with hardwired security systems. This is first completely wireless. Really like it. Has a lot of strong points. I purchased it because of it's integration with HomeKit. I have become increasingly appreciative of the Abode service and after 6 months, I am more convinced than ever that I’ve made the right choice. I’ll start with the integrations. They are second to none! After a few chats and two calls, the rep was able to upgrade my firmware (no available update was showing in the app), allowing me to connect with apple HomeKit and my Ecobee thermostats. A second simple step allowed me to connect my Apple Watch. From there, all of my abode devices immediately showed up in HomeKit and I was immediately able to access, arm and unarm my system through apple and, specifically, through Siri. These integrations are perfect and I have no problems whatsoever. Next, I’ll focus on the cameras. They are really good cameras and have so far held up through a wide range of Chicago weather. I don’t like the short cables that came with the camera and I don’t like the fact that a wall plug is the only power source. However when looking at their functionality, their adjustable mounting options, their ease of access, app control, and their price, they are probably the best cameras I’ve ever had from an alarm company, and that is even more true when I take into account the 24/7 recording option. That being said, the live recording upgrade is a must, and is more than comparable to other services, if not better. The general install was easier than promoted. I was able to set up the entire system in less than 30 minutes (cameras not included); my system includes 5 door sensors, a base, a motion detector, a glass break sensor and a keypad. I removed the keychain from the system because it seemed too easy to hit the wrong button and there is no was to really secure access. The total setup of 30 minutes included getting the base up and running. I must admit, it took another two days to finalize HomeKit integration, but that’s because I wasn’t aware that I needed to contact customer service and have them manually push through the correct firmware upgrade. I imagine that process will become simpler over time, as they continue to make upgrades to the system. The only issues that I have is the sensitivity of the glass break sensor. Stacking glass plates, vacuuming, and even opening a can of root beer has activated the alarm, but I can’t say I’m mad about it, because it gives me peace of mind that I’m covered. The customer service, the equipment, and the price, more than make up for it. This is by far one of the best home purchases I’ve made and I would recommend abode to anyone looking for a customizable home alarm system.

It's hard to believe how good this inexpensive cam is! Over the years I have used most of the major brands. For the price, I didn't expect much from the Abode Cam 2, but I was amazed at how easily it integrated with the rest of my Abode system and just how clear the images are. I have three so far, will be adding a fourth soon!

Easy to install on doors. More important to me is their great range. I have outbuildings about 90 feet from the main Abode unit. They work perfectly. No false alarms. No missed events.

Iota has worked well in my house for a number of years. It has given my family the security that we need at a price we can afford . This unit is built like a tank. It fell from the table and it still works.

I got this camera to provide a bit of extra security. There have been some middle-of-the-night ding-dong ditches in my neighborhood this summer and I wanted to be prepared. We haven't had any security issues, but it ended up being really handy for keeping an eye on my elderly dog when we let him out, especially a night. The night vision is very clear! I wasn't sure how it would fair against weather, but we had a pretty massive storm roll in this weekend and it held steady and is working like charm. It was super easy to set up. I'm glad we got this.
